First off, Happy Belated Thanksgiving, we hope you had a great holiday with friends and family. It was also a busy weekend for GM as we had our first gig back in 2 months at the Yost Theater in Santa Ana. We have a few more gigs before the end of 2011, so stay tuned for more info. For now, here are some musical favorites of ours.
Monday: Josh The Funky 1 - Universal Sound (Ian Carey Remix)
Tuesday: Michael Mind - Ride Like The Wind (Klaas Remix)
Wednesday: Valerna - Amazing (Clockwork Remix)
Thursday: Magician ft. Jeppe - I Don’t Know What To Do (Plastic Plates Remix)
Friday: Avicii - Sweet Dreams (Cazzette Meet At Night Mix)
Weekend Bonus: Kaskade & Dada Life - Dynasty Noise (Kaskade Mashup)

Big week for the electronic dance music community. As most of you know, in 4 days the likes of Swedish House Mafia, Tiesto, Above & Beyond, ATB, Boys Noize, Empire of the Sun, Bassnectar, and countless other fantastic artists will be traveling to Las Vegas for Electric Daisy Carnival 2011, basically making this the closest thing to a weekend in Ibiza most us Westerners will ever see. This is the first year EDC will be held in Las Vegas, following last year’s ban of the Los Angeles show.
Now, with the epicness of this event we only feel obliged to remind ya’ll that playing in the desert will be much hotter, so please take care of yourselves and those around you! With recent news about the passing of 19-yr old Andrew Graf (R.I.P) at EDC Dallas, all eyes will be on Insomniac and the success of this event. We hope all goes well and wish everyone an amazing experience!

Part of the weekend, never dies.
We apologize for missing last week’s music update, but the GM crew got stuck in a little snow storm in Big Bear. We are back after a good weekend of gigs and ready to give your ears some listening pleasure. Here is your mix of music for the week!

*Stay tuned for our recap of the Urban/Modern Art Show ft. 12FV this weekend
Swedish Electro Duo, DADA LIFE, just dropped their new single Unleash the Fucking Dada and the track is everything you would expect from a dance electro hit! The eclectic synth sounds, the creative keys, and the heart-pounding bass all come together, as the duo commonly mentions, “to kill the dancefloor and never look back”.
Coming off an amazing two years of some of the most popular electro songs and remixes, DADA LIFE has definitely solidified themselves in the electronic dance scene all over the world. In 2010, dropping remixes of Kaskade’s Dynasty and Martin Solveig & Dragonette’s Hello, they are even leaked out to jump on to DJ MAG’s Top 100 DJ List at #89. If you are in the SoCal area, they have a few upcoming shows at Sutra on Halloween and Control @ Avalon the weekend after! But for now, definitely enjoy this song and hopefully hear it soon in one of our mixes!
