Let’s be honest, 128bpm isn’t always fitting for the daily mood swings you go through. Everybody loves to “untz untz” these days, but let me take this week’s Music Mondays to remind you of the groove within other genres! And maybe it’s just my perception, but the art of listening to entire albums instead of just singles is dying. I for one haven’t spent nearly enough time trying to capture the big picture of what musicians strive for with album production. I mean, listening to singles are so manageable (especially if you’re lacking HD space). But if you truly do enjoy an artist, take the time to respect and enjoy their work as a whole!
Now at first, I was hesitant to post about this topic. When you’re giving away free albums, I’m sure it’ll piss a few people off. However, I’m certain many of you probably 1. haven’t heard much of these artists or 2. aren’t making it a priority to buy music in these harsh economic times. But because I am so confident that this music will inspire you to one day purchase a ticket to experience these musicians live, imo it all works out! I really am just posting these as encouragement to go see more shows. Whether it’s a DJ, band, singer, or even a dance showcase, no amount of mp3s or Youtube clips can ever replace the live experience. So save a few bucks, get off your ass, and check out who’s coming to a venue near you!
